Sonali Bank Limited, Chittagong Region, is organizing an Entrepreneurship Development Training on 6 August 2025. Mr. Anwar brings over 25 years of professional leadership experience in designing and implementing livelihood development and inclusive market systems programs, both in Bangladesh and internationally. Over the years, he has made substantial contributions to leading development organizations including iDE, Swisscontact, Practical Action, BRAC International (Tanzania), and PROSHIKA. His core expertise lies in agribusiness, entrepreneurship, adaptive management, and gender-inclusive agricultural systems.
He holds a Master of Science in Agriculture from Bangladesh Agricultural University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Food and Nutrition Security from Wageningen University & Research in the Netherlands, and a professional certificate in Food and Nutrition Program Planning and Management from the University of the Philippines. In addition to his academic credentials, Anwar has participated in several prestigious international training programs. These include Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P) by the Springfield Centre for Business Development in the UK; Making Agribusiness Work: Facilitation and Coaching by iCRA in Kenya; Building Agribusiness Relations for Sustainable Profit by iCRA in Nigeria; and Planning Rice-Breeding Programs for Impact by the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) in the Philippines.
